2018 Wineries

Paumanok Vineyards

Established in 1983, Paumanok is an estate winery located on the North Fork of Long Island owned and operated by the Massoud Family. From its inception, Paumanok's focus has been to grow the highest quality wines. Paumanok's guiding philosophy is that only the healthiest, ripest grapes will produce great wine -- there is no substitute. Paumanok produces several varietal and blended wines with fruit originating from it's 80 acres of vineyards. Paumanok produces New York's only Chenin Blanc along with Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Paumanok has been recognized with numerous accolades over the years including wine service at The White House, NY Wine & Food Classic's "Winery of the Year" Award, "outstanding" reviews in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and a nomination for Wine Enthusiast's "American Winery of the Year". Pio Del Ramo Vineyards

From the beginning of the project and the construction of the facilities, we have carefully looked at all the necessary details to ensure a means that will allow us to streamline and improve our work. No resources have been spared when it comes to acquiring the best and most advanced machinery. Thanks to this, we can focus our efforts on the development.

We have a processing ship, equipped with the most modern means, to carry out the vinification of the grape. We also have a nursery, where the wines rest until our winemaker decides they are ready for bottling, marketing and consumption.

It is here, in this land linked since time immemorial to the vine and wine, where its creator has made his dream come true. A dream mixes passion, know-how, and knowledge of the land and its strains. What combined and combined gives rise to some fantastic wines that honor both D. O. Jumilla and I. G. P. Tierras de Castilla. Visit Pio Del Ramo Vineyards at piodelramo.com.

Bergevin Lane Vineyards

The winery itself is a 20,000 square foot facility with capacity to produce 20,000 cases annually. 22 five ton stainless steel fermenting tank plus two larger tanks lay out the landscape in an “industrially hip” setting. On the side, 1.5 ton stainless steel punch down fermenters complete the scenery. 3 temperature controlled/humidified barrel rooms aid in the malolactic conversion, white barrel fermentation and aging process of the wines and a fully equipped onsite laboratory ensures control in regards to the more scientific aspects of winemaking.

Our premium grapes are hand picked and sourced from approximately 8 vineyards within the Walla Walla and Columbia Valleys. Bergevin Lane’s Estate vineyard “Bergevin Springs” is planted on Bergevin homestead land.  Bergevin Lane leases 5 acres at Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla and we have long term acreage contracts with outstanding vineyards such as Stone Tree Vineyards in the Wahluke Slope, Francisca’s Vineyard in Walla Walla, and other noted vineyards in the Columbia Valley. We believe that to make good wine, you have to have good fruit, so we work closely with all of our vineyard growers to ensure the utmost quality of our fruit.

After the grapes are delivered to the winery, the fruit is transferred onto a sorting table where all twigs and leaves (known as M.O.G. – Materials other than Grapes) are removed to ensure the quality of the fruit. The fruit is then put into temperature controlled tanks where primary fermentation commences. Extraction techniques during and after fermentation include rotation pump-overs and punch downs and depending on the fruit, post-fermentation maceration depending upon the fruit structure. Then the wine is gently pumped into new and neutral oak barrels for the malo-lactic fermentation process. The wines age between 10 and 26 months in our temperature controlled barrel rooms.
